Kathleen Maroney, RYT 200, Baptiste Certified teacher. "What you experience on your mat will translate to your life off the the mat." My teachers repeatedly told me this when I first became hooked on Baptiste Yoga in 2003. I never doubted their wisdom and kept an open mind. The heat and flow of every yoga class was transformative -- I felt better! Soon, I was going to five or six classes a week -- sometimes two a day, alternating between various studios near my home in Hopkinton, RI and New York City. I completed my Baptiste Level One training in August, 2007, never thinking that I would actually teach. In Spring of 2010, my life literally went with "the flow," and by that I mean the Pawcatuck River -- I completely lost my Rhode Island house in the March flood. I found myself living in Middletown, CT, where no Baptiste yoga could be found. I volunteered to teach yoga at a community not-for-profit dance hall, where I found that I truly enjoyed teaching and sharing "my yoga." My teachers had been right -- the lessons learned on my mat showed up in my daily life. I believe in going with the flow, not struggling with situations I cannot control. I try to live in the moment, am far less reactive, and I choose not to live in fear. Yoga is an ongoing journey in my life. I completed Baptiste Level 2 training in Spring 2011. I feel like a beginner everyday on my mat; I hope never to lose this feeling.

Marcy Ranfone, RYT 200, recently completed her teacher training at Greenhouse Holistic in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. With a joy of movement and a devoted vinyasa practice that stretches over 7 years, Marcy combines her interest in alignment to her love of an energetic, creative flow to get people into a vibrant, safe and peaceful space. Her passion for yoga has also lead her to travel to India to study and delve more deeply into the yoga tradition. Linking breath to movement, and threading strength, focus and grace into the poses, her classes invite awareness to our boundless potential for transformation through motion and balance. Marcy continues to be motivated by various styles of yoga, breath work, and the philosophies of yoga and is continually inspired by her teachers and students alike.
Rachael Whitbeck, RYT-200 stepped onto a yoga mat for the first time 10 years ago and 75 minutes later she was seriously in love with the practice. Rachael cherishes the clarity, awareness, and tranquility that her yoga practice manifests. Rachael’s roots are in ashtanga yoga but her asana practice has evolved to become a more creative form of power vinyasa yoga, while maintaining a strong emphasis on linking breath with movement. Rachael has worked in the alternative health industry since 2004 and became a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor in 2006. Rachael's yogi/ini inspirations include Seane Corn, Bryan Kest, MC Yogi, and Baron Baptiste.

Ryan Charles, RYT 200, came to yoga after graduating college and realizing that he wanted to do more with his time here by helping others and giving more of himself. He graduated his Vinyasa teacher training in June of 2012 under Rolf Gates and is eager to bring the multi-level Vinyasa flow yoga to students. Ryan has a zest for energetic movement and strives for fresh creativity in his own devoted practice, which he does his best to bring into his teaching. Apart from Rolf, Ryan bounces around the local shoreline area studios trying to experience as many different teaching styles as possible as well as practicing Svadhyaya - self-study, in his "yoga lab," where he is also working on a yoga practice for fighters and martial artists.
Aside from teaching and practicing yoga, Ryan is an avid Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and mixed martial artist, as well as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. Ryan graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011 from the Paier College of Art with a BFA in graphic design and also has his professional American Red Cross Lifeguard certification in CPR, First-aid, and AED administration.
Blossoming from her extensive study of ballet as a child, Camille Brown, has always loved combining movement with breath. She took her first yoga class while pregnant in 2004 and was hooked. While living in San Francisco, she started her training at SF Ashtanga before developing a vinyasa style practice. She credits this transformation to her teacher Sharon Lape at Yogaworks in Marin, CA. Her journey with yoga has lead her to teaching in 2012 with her enrollment in the 200-hour teacher training at Saraswati’s Yoga Joint studying with Mitchel Bleier, Tracy Bleier and Donna Jackson. At Fresh Yoga in New Haven, she studies with Peg Oliveira. Camille teaches a challenging and empowering class which focuses on alignment, strength and flexibility. She encourages students to grow in their practice and to enjoy the benefits of yoga on and off the mat.
Aixa has been commited to a yoga practice since 1999. As a full time designer she developed poor posture from working on the computer for long hours. In 2006 she completed the Forrest Yoga foundation teacher training w/Ana Forrest and Jonathan Bowra. In 2008, she completed the Level 1 Resistance Stretching certification training w/Anne Tierney and Steve Sierra from Innovative Body Solutions. Jennifer Shultz, RYT 200, completed the Core Power Yoga Teacher Training Program following a 20+ year journey as a group fitness and wellness instructor. Guided “home” to the yoga mat as both a student and as a teacher, she discovered yoga as a pathway to peace, calm, joy, and true presence. Jennifer is inspired by the Power Vinyasa practice which is physically and mentally challenging, athletic, and energizing. Her focus is on joining with, inviting, and guiding others to become aware of and surrender to the mind, body, spiritual connection, guided by breath, within a framework of freedom and joy. This practice can serve as a transformational trigger for unearthing the authentic self through the movement, the challenge, the stillness, and the surrender. Jennifer teaches with a joyful spirit and brings lightness, humor, compassion, and freedom to her classes.
Jenna Silva, RYT 200, began taking yoga when searching for a more holistic remedy to her scoliosis back pain. She recently completed her teacher training at Center for Health and Healing in Toms River, NJ.
